India: Schools
Pictures taken in and around India schools while working with various NGO's. It should be noted, that some of the schools pictured are village schools with the children returning home after classes. But others are sleep-in schools, often run by an NGO to help street children and the very poor. These schools often produce some of what they eat and ask the children to tend gardens and animals and harvest crops. Some allow for the mixing of generations. And, some give out merit points which allows the children to purchase candy and other novelties. All of these activities are pictured in this gallery.
