Encaustic Interpretations
Encuastic is the art of painting with wax. I use it to add a layer of wax to an image that has been printed on thin, almost translucent, Japanese paper which is then adhered to a board. The image is then waxed, eliminating the need for glass and adding unusual depth and texture.
